Understanding love in its true form is a great thing, but what good is that love if it is only understood? Can you love without action? Words are cheap, even if your knowledge and skill with words are superior. What keeps us from loving? Truly loving? If it is pride then you are a fool, and if it is because you are afraid of getting hurt than you are weak. Take action, be the hero that many people will not be.
Here is a catch, love with selfish ambition is not love at all. Acting on your love is a great thing, but acting on it expecting a "give and take" situation is not. So when you love, love expecting NOTHING in return and you will be blessed... But don't expect to be blessed.
"The hero always gets the girl" I can not tell you how many times I have heard this. Sure this might be true in Hollywood, but is the hero willing to give the girl up? What do I mean? Humbleness, knowing that we are blessed and being willing to lay our blessings down for our Lord. Now I am not saying go and leave your relationship, your spouse is a blessing from God and should be treated as such, but to acknowledge that they are a blessing not a rite.
Love is an endless pursuit, but if we pursue it to the end we will live an incredible life.
